"UIS Softball is the defending GLVC Conference Champion. The 2017-2018 season was a record year for the Prairie Stars as they met new program marks by winning their first outright conference title, became nationally ranked for the first time, won an NCAA Regional for the first time in program history, and received the GLVC Pitcher of the Year and Coach of the Year major awards. Eight Prairie Stars received All-GLVC Honors, while three were named All-Region. UIS Softball is an up and coming premier Division II Softball program who is looking for athletic, competitive players who excel both on and off the field."
